One year ago today...

It's amazing what God can do in 365 days, isn't it?

On July 16th, 2015, Lakeside hosted it's very first event in the form of a "Vision Night." The vision surely did catch. Slidell Mayor, Family Research Council President, State Reps and other guests spoke at this monumental night where it a launch date of Fall 2016 was announced.

Quite a daunting task set before our launch team and supporters just one short year ago. But as we are approaching the first day of school, we are continuously reminded where God guides, God provides. In honor of our Vision Night one year ago, we want to share with you all God has done in this short year!

  • We have partnered with Renew-A-Nation to assist in the launching of LCA. They chose us as a pilot school at no cost and have assisted in our launch process in a variety of ways.

  • Over 100 faculty interviews have taken place.

  • A school in New Orleans East donated over 100 classroom desks, filing cabinets, tables, dry-erase boards, microscopes and more!

  • A staff has been hired, attended curriculum conferences together and been a huge support system for the launch.

  • Our facility has been under renovations and adjustments to accommodate a brand new school.

  • LCA has been present in multiple community events including the National Day of Prayer, the Mayor's Annual Cook-Off, the Crab Fest at Heritage Park, Veteran's Festival, and more.

  • We have hosted 3 spectacular events: Last summer's Vision Night, the Big Reveal Christmas Party, and the Launch Event in March.

  • Curriculum has been prayed over, researched, and ordered.

  • Uniforms have been custom designed and ordered for students.

  • HD projectors from Cox Communications were donated for classroom learning.

We know that the Lord is just getting started. All He ever needs is faithful children to say yes when he calls. Your continued prayers and support are appreciated as we continue to build up the next generation!
